Review: SkinMiso

Have you heard of SkinMiso? It’s Korean skincare brand that focuses on pore problems and also exfoliation of dead skin cells.

The kind people at Urban Hunter, distributor of SkinMiso have kindly provided me a complete set of the SkinMiso Pore Beauty Nose Pack plus Comedo Remover for review.

Now, let me introduce to you the SkinMiso Pore Beauty Nose Pack, just 3 simple steps to get rid of the strawberry nose that most of us have.

Step 1 and 2 are nose packs of different purposes. Step 1 will be the pack that will force the black and white heads out. Then we remove the impurities with either a cotton bud or the SkinMiso Comedo Remover. Step 2 helps in calming the skin and contracts the pores. Step 3 is the Pore Beauty Silky Essence which helps smooth out the pores.

I really liked how the smooth my nose is after using all 3 steps. The essence will make it velvety smooth!

Here’s me trying out the nose pack. Blackheads are always there on my nose and I’ve a lot. The battle with blackheads is a constant one unlike acne. I’ve tried many ways and products previously to get rid of the blackheads. SkinMiso is by far, the most efficient product I’ve tried.

Let me show you. It’s a little gross though. But the photo below shows the amount of gunk I managed to remove with first use of the nose pack.

The SkinMiso Comedo Remover comes in a cover as below which makes it more hygienic when storing it. It also have two ends to it, a wider and a narrower for the curves around the nose. The photo above shows the narrower end.

SkinMiso Pore Beauty Nose Pack is available at most Watsons stores and retails for $28.90.

The Comedo Remover is only available exclusively at Bellabox.sg. Buy the complete set at Bellabox to get a 15% savings off the complete set!

For those who have concerns of a strawberry nose, try out SkinMiso Pore Beauty Nose Pack today!

I rate it a 4/5 rating!

And if you ask if the Comedo Remover is worth getting? I would say yes as the quality is really good. I think it has to do with the thickness of the rim, some of the ones out there are too thin and it hurts when you apply pressure to the skin with it. The SkinMiso one is just nice for me, I don’t really feel pain when I’m applying pressure with it during the removing process.

Let’s get rid of those Strawberry nose with SkinMiso today!

Kick It Side Makeup

Introducing to you Kick It Side Makeup developed by the well known BB cream brand Skin79.

I’ve received three items from the range for review, an eyeliner, mascara and the cream eyeshadow base.

Available in two shades, Metallic Pearl and Silvery Grey. The former suitable for day looks and the latter will be great for smokey eyes. I’ve received the former. This is priced at $19.90.

It’s a very light creamy texture and goes on the skin smoothly. I think this can be used either as a base or on its own as a highlighter shade.

I’ve received the Fantastic eyeliner in Secrete Khaki, a deep olive green which is a good substitute for the usual black and brown.

There’s a total of 5 shades and is priced at $14.90.

I’ve also received the Hedwig Lash mascara for length. I like this kind of brush comb as it minimized clumps. This is priced at $19.90.

Kick It Side is available exclusively at Watsons.

Affordable and trendy make up from Korea, Kick It Side is worth checking out.

First Beauty Collective Haul in 2013!

Hi all!

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a beauty haul and it’s just awesome to be hauling beauty products. And so here’s my first beauty haul in 2013.

Etude house have loads of pretty glitter polishes now! These are $6.90 each!

I also got the nail polish set from the Etoinette collection. Look at the colors and that nail stickers! Too pretty to miss!! I’m going to wear this for CNY! This is $16.90.

Bought the Moisture Body Cream simply cause it smells really nice. It’s $22.90 for a 200ml tub. I also got the Silk Scarf hair mask to try after seeing Miyake raving about it on twitter. It’s $6.90 in the local Etude stores.

I‘ve also gotten the large 500ml bottle of the Wonder Pore Freshner at $32.90. Love this toner as I feel that it helps minimize the appearance of the pores plus refreshes the skin well. I’ve also gotten the emulsion from the skin mal:gem range to try as I’ve ran out of one to use for my day regime. It’s $25.90 for 200ml.

Saw that Canmake have 25% off at Watson’s the other say so I got their new foundation and primer to try. This is the natural range which does not includes any synthetic chemicals. It is also able to be removed with just water. The original price for the foundation and primer is $29.90 and $24.90 respectively.

Saw this set of 6 mini lip balms from Fresh going at 30% off which makes it $51, originally priced at $73. Lip balms are a staple in my regime and I always finish them real fast or lose them easily. The size of this lip balm is great to throw into the bag or purse!

I’m so glad that YSL have made its way back to SG shores. If not I will not have found out how awesome their range of lip sticks are. The two pictures are from their new Rouge Volupte Shine range. I’ve own two other from the Rouge Sheer Candy range and the Rouge Volupte Range. According to the BA, this new range is something in between the sheer candy and rouge volupte which provides a pigmented glossy color.

YSL priced their lipsticks at $45 each. I personally feel that it’s worth every single cent of it as it’s long lasting plus moisturizing. I love my sheer candy one so much that I’m contemplating to get a back up of the color I had. Now I’ve 4 lip sticks from YSL and trust me, this number will definitely increase over time.

And that’s all for my beauty haul post!

It’s always great to share some beauty love with everyone so I’m giving out the SUGAR Lip Treatment from Fresh (the one on the extreme right in pic, dark brown packaging but it’s a clear balm) to one lucky reader!

To win, simply like my FB page if you have not and leave a comment below stating your FB name and why would you like to win the Lip Treatment.

The giveaway will end 1 Feb 2013 1800 HRS.

Update: Congrats Fenny for winning the Lip Treatment! *Winner is picked using a random name picker~ *

Review: Vanedo by Masketeers~

Hi everyone!!

Today I’m going to introduce to you a new series of sheet masks from Korea. The brand is Vanedo Beauty Friends. They have a total of 25 variants and I’ve received 5 to try. Out of the 5 I’ve received, there’s the very popular Snail and Syn-ake mask which I’m pretty excited to try. Other then those 2, there’s the Red Ginseng, Herb and Mugwort ones.

The thing about Korean masks is that they usually have the description and all in Korean but for Vanedo masks, they have it in 3 different languages which is Korean, English and Japanese. I think it’s great to be able to understand the product better this way.

The mask itself is 2g and it contains 23g of essence. Some of you might doubt this but let me show you. The mask itself is already fully soaked and there’s still loads of essence in the pack. Don’t waste those essence, use them on the arms or legs!

I’m using the Mugwort one as seen. This mask gives me a minty/cooling sensation when I applied the mask on. I feel the same too when I patted the extra essence on my legs. The Mugwort is for soothing, firming and moisturizing.

I’ve a pretty big face as compared to many girls out there and usually sheets masks fits just right or smaller then my face. This mask fits nicely but is actually slightly bigger which I loves. Noticed the hole for the eye is pretty small? As in there is a flap for the under eye area that can covers the eye when you close them. I think it’s pretty neat as our under eyes needs some masking too!

While I was happily masking away, it seems that my Crafts are interested in the masks too.

パーティ熊 wants some Red Ginseng to refine and firm up the skin after party throughout Xmas and New Year.

Futsu-Neko is greedy and took the Snail, Sny-ake ones. He wanted the Mugwort one too but too bad, I’m using it.

After 30 minutes, I removed the mask and the skin is refreshed and supple! I also noticed redness being reduced.

I kind of like this better then the masks I usually use. The essence is of a more watery texture and I can feel it being absorbed into my skin and no sticky feeling is left behind. I’m probably going to try the other 20 variants that Vanedo offers before deciding which ones I like most. I’ve a feeling that the Snail one would be on the list. 😛

Highly Recommended by 虹兎! It’s worth a 4/5 rating!

Now where to get these masks which are super affordable at $1.20 per piece. Simply purchase 5 piece and above to get it at $1! Or if you want a better deal, get 25 pieces at just $22!

You can get them from the Masketeers~ They are a new blogshop started by a group of retail students from NYP~ This is actually part of their FYP project so let’s give them our support!

I’m definitely going to support them by buying the remaining 20 variants of the masks to try!

Do check out their FB page for information on the masks and also regular updates!
