Sushi Delivery Singapore – Worth It?

Featuring Sushi Delivery Singapore aka SushiDelivery.SG today in partnership with Best In Singapore.

Inspired by the famed buzz feed Worth It series on Youtube which I’m a huge fan of. I’m going to start a Worth It series on my blog, reviewing all things from food to skincare and even services!

This is the tasting menu:

  • California Maki – $10.90
  • Kappa Maki (Vegetarian) – $3.90
  • Chuka Kurage – $4.67
  • Kani Salad – $8.30
  • Shrimp Crouton – $4.90
  • Takoyaki – $4.90
  • Yam Net Sponge Roll – $5.90
  • Champion Floss Maki – $15.90

Do note that as I wasn’t sent any raw items like sashimi or raw sushi, I will not be able to comment on their freshness with regards to the raw fish menu available on their site.

With the recent Circuit Breaker and Singapore opening up in Phases, I find that a Sushi Delivery service that delivers island-wide is one of their plus points. I’ve very limited sushi choices that deliver to my place so it’s kinda sad.

Let’s get down to the food itself!

My favourites out of the list of items would be the Kani Salad, Champion Floss Maki and the Shrimp Crouton. The Yam Net Sponge Roll will make it to the list if only it can retain it’s crispiness when it was delivered to me. The outer layer was a bit soggy when I received it. But the filling is nice though, not too sweet and jelat!

I really like the Kani Salad and even added the Chuka Kurage for more bite! It’s really refreshing and ingredients used are definitely fresh!

The Champion Floss Maki is a interesting rendition of a traditional maki roll and it’s tad of sweetness blends pretty well with the savoury ingredients.

Shrimp Crouton managed to maintain its crisps and the filling is very generous.

Sushi Delivery Shipping Rates

All orders under $60 will be at a flat rate of $5.90.
Orders above $60 will be enjoying free delivery.
Sushi Delivery also provides a 1 hour delivery service, they will delivery within the hour of the time-slot chosen to your doorstep!

Worth It or Not?

Judging based on just the items I’ve received. I will recommend to order only if you really do not have available Sushi takeaway options nearby and if you are really craving for Sushi.

Price-wise is decent and they do have a wide range of Maki rolls and Donburis to choose from.

Worth It Rating:

Rating: 3 out of 5.

7 Things I’ve learnt Being A Cat Mom

If you had read my 2018 in a nutshell post previously, you would know that I’ve became a Cat Mom since last September. Nearly 6 months into having my own cat at home. Here’s some of the things that I’ve learnt being a cat mom.

1.Mesh your gates and windows!

Cats are born to be escape artists. Somehow there’s just something out of those gates that they are attracted to as compare to the safe home filled with food and water we have created for them. My silly cat especially will wait at the gate for any chance to slip out. She even ran out of the window once! So mesh those windows, Cat moms! Especially if you live in Yishun like me.

2. Sterilize your cats

That’s Coco’s uterus. It’s also enlarged cause she’s in heat as we all suspected.

My cat is a female cat. And when female cats are in heat, they meow all night long. Note, it’s all night long. It’s noisy and it affects sleep in the house. And they tend to pee out of their litter box to mark their territory. So as a responsible cat mom, you have to spay them. Sterilized cats have least health problems anyways.

3. Play with your cats

When I first brought Coco home, I had to leave for my 2 weeks Tokyo Solo Trip soon after. I had no time to bond with her and I do realized that she’s closer to my elder brothers who helped looked after her while I was away. But as I’ve spent more time with her after my trip, I realized that she knows and will come chill beside me on my bed. She only lies on top of me also and not my brothers. Cats know, they know who treats them well and will reciprocate.

4. Cat moms comes with scratches

This was a cat bite though but you get the gist.

I’m pretty fair. And a lot of people have already told me that it’s a pity that my fair arms are filled with scratches now. Thought most of the scratches are from my brother’s cat and not mine. Sometimes they will scratch you unintentionally too when their claws gets a little too long. So just remember to trim and you won’t end up with too deep scratches.

5. I’m a crazy Cat Mom

Taking thousands of photos of my cat in all different angles. Even setting up an Instagram account for my cat. Follow her @cocodeneko. Sometimes just grabbing my cat off her resting place and carry her in my arms like a baby. Hugging and squeezing her when I feel like it. Tell me these are not acts of a crazy cat mom. Lol.

6. Cats should be kept indoors

Chilling at the coffee shop

I sometimes chill with my brothers at the coffee shop nearby and I will put my cat in the grocery trolley and bring her down. Many a times she tried to escape, with my brothers chasing after her. Sometimes I bring her to the playground at night to run around a bit. Because the older cat at home will attack her at sight, she’s usually kept in my dad’s room. So I thought it’s nice to bring her out sometimes. But no, they should be kept indoors. Her most recent vet visit return with her having fur mites and also ear infection. All this she probably got when she’s on an outdoor excursion. So keep those kitties indoors. Keeps them away from crazy cat murderers also.

7. I love being a Cat mom!

Just how cute she is! <3

I love my cat. I love the fact that I’m a cat mom. Seeing my cat when I’m home makes me happy. My cat sparks joy. I’m a happy cat mom or the actual truth, I’m a happy cat slave! 😛

Durian Delivery Right To Your Doorstep!

It’s the Durian season!!! Who’s a fan of Durians here?

Durian Delivery Singapore

With things going digital nowadays, there’s no need to go to Geylang, Balestier, Toa Payoh or where ever to have your Durian fix!

Durian Delivery Singapore

Durian Delivery Singapore brings you fresh Durians straight from the plantation in Malaysia, pack them into boxes on the same day and deliver right to your doorstep! So you can enjoy the King of Fruits within the comfort of your own home!

Royal MSW a.k.a Old Tree MSW

I’m sure many of you are very familiar with the Mao Shan Wang variety of the Durian. And before Durian Delivery, I thought that Mao Shan Wang is about the best of Durians you can get but they have something even better! The Royal Mao Shan Wang which are harvested from old Mao Shan Wang trees, giving the fruit deeper flavors.

Soft Creamy Durian from Durian Delivery

I was sent the two varieties and was thinking in my heart, really got difference meh? Or is it just a marketing gimmick, especially since the Royal MSW variety is slightly higher in price. I tried both, and immediately decided to keep the Royal MSW to myself and shared the regular MSW with my Father, who’s like a Durian Connoisseur. 😛

But even the regular MSW from Durian Delivery garner pretty high ratings from my Father. My brother brought home some MSW from another Durian stall and it’s good but not as rich in flavor as those from Durian Delivery and the flesh is also not as soft.

But I really recommend the Royal MSW, it’s so rich in taste and just the right amount of bitter to sweet ratio! And as it’s delivered fresh right to your doorstep, it’s really soft and creamy and aromatic! You can smell the nice aroma the moment you peel off the plastic!

And I must say the price range from Durian Delivery Singapore is very reasonable! One box of 400g(de-husked) of Royal MSW is only $29.90! (The above image is what you get in one box of 400g! Very worth it right!)

Did I also mentioned that both variants of the MSW have got really thin seeds? So you really get a lot of flesh to dig into!

Get your Durians from Durian Delivery Singapore today! I’m definitely going to get my Durian fix from them in future!

Hand Bouquet By Floral Garage Singapore

Online Florists on the bloom

Flowers is a great choice of gift for many occasions. Be it celebrations, or just sending flowers to a significant someone to make their day.

With technology these days, you no longer have to head to the florist physically to get the flowers. With many online florists available, sending flowers is as easy as a click of the button. And you don’t have to worry about last minute flower purchase as you can plan ahead and place an order in advance with online florists.

Lovely Blooms by Florist Garage Singapore

Florist Garage have recently sent me a surprise hand bouquet and even though I was expecting a flower delivery, I still got a pleasant surprise as they sent me my favorite Daisies! Plus, receiving flowers is always a mood brightener. Well, unless someone send you a bouquet of Chrysanthemum. 😛 (You’ll get my joke if you understand the Chinese culture.)

giselle floral garage

This bouquet named Giselle, is one of the popular bouquets at Floral Garage. It’s such a lovely bouquet of pink and white Gerberas (a type of daisy) and is a great alternative to the usual roses. I was inspired by the bouquet that I created a makeup look based on the colors of the lovely blooms that week.

But if you prefer roses with the same bouquet style, they provide alternatives too!

For an example this bouquet called Spirited Away that is actually recommended as an alternative to Giselle for something similar but with Roses. It’s also cheaper depending on the number of roses.

Floral Garage Subscription

Have you heard of a flower subscription? This is my first time hearing about it and I do find it very useful especially when you have multiple occasions coming up within the next week months. You can plan ahead for monthly or weekly deliveries or according to the special dates coming up. And you can either choose from the bouquets on site, ask for customization or leave it to the team at Floral Garage to surprise your loved ones! You can also sign up for a subscription yourself if you love flowers and enjoy receiving flowers on a regular basis. You don’t have to tell anyone that you’re the one sending flowers to yourself! 😛

So now you know where to go when you need to order a lovely bouquet of flowers for that special occasion.
