Neon Brights Peekaboo Hair by Salon De Choix

Dark roots, faded ends that are dry. It’s a sign that I should pay a visit to Salon De Choix and so there I went!

Previously, my ends were bleached to get that dipped dyed effect for many times and it’s getting unmanageable. Hence, after discussing with my stylist, we decided to snipped of some inches.

Here’s a photo of my new hair length, not that short but a refreshing length that makes the head feels so much lighter.

Then we proceeded to get a section each from both sides of my hair bleached, this time round we are bleaching the whole length instead of just half.

Standard procedure, we get the funky colors on before putting on the base color. My stylist applied two kind of funky colors on each side this time. I let him decide the colors and he picked orange and pink which I have never tried before and hence very excited!

Look at the colors!! Super bright!

No visit to the salon can do without a hair treatment. Adding on Moroccan Oil to the hair mask, it will make the hair more smooth and have a little healthy shine!

Here’s the blow drying process!! I’m loving the look of my new hair! It’s so much lighter in weight and color which gave me a fresher look!

After blow drying and touching up on the hair shape! I’m super happy with the results! And I get smooth mad shiny hair once more with a fresh coat of colors!

Let’s take a closer look at this style of coloring. The colored parts are hidden within the layers, hence the peekaboo effect. It’s a more subtle look compared to my previous color job. But when lifted up when we band up the hair or tie it up, the colors will be shown as lovely swirls. And it will be obvious when I curl my hair too.

And kudos to Ricky, I get to have nice funky hair! Do look for him if you do visit Salon De Choix and quote my name ‘Joyce’ for 15% off regular services!

Here’s another close up of the different colors of my hair. Base is light brown, pink and orange highlights! I also have a little ashy blonde color at the ends of the hair at the back. So in total, 4 colors! I initially wanted to call it the Strawberry Orange Caramel hair but it’s too long so I chose neon brights instead. 😛

Personalized Vanity Trove – Choose your own surprises!

If you have read my previous post on Vanity Trove, you will know that they have rolled out personalized troves from July onwards! And I’m excited as I have just received my very own personalized trove and I cannot wait to share it with you all!!!

Even Hanabi-Ko is curious on what I have chosen!

I’m sure most of you have experience with beauty boxes and often you look at others and goes : ‘ Eh! Why you got this Product A I don’t have!! Unfair lei!’ Or you will wonder why some people got full size stuff and you don’t? Or maybe the products are all quite ok but you won’t use them?

No more of those problems as you will only be receiving samples that you yourself have picked! Here’s what I picked!

We are able to picked 6 samples and sometimes they have full size products available. So I’ve picked 5 samples and 1 full size.

Here’s the list of products that I’ve picked!

Other then the UJÈNE sample which comes in sachet, the rest are pretty luxurious samples and easier to bring out. When choosing your samples, all these are stated so you can choose which kind you prefer! I would also highly recommend you to only pick items that you really want to try! For me, I’m really excited as all the items I’ve picked are stuff that I have been wanting to buy but not willing to commit to the full sizes and also products that I think would be useful to my skin.

Who don’t love to see a full size product in their beauty boxes? Paying $25 for a trove, I’m pretty sure most of you would like to receive products worth that buck. So if there’s a full size item that you like to try, just grab it! I’ve picked this hair cream by PHYTO as my hair have been quite dry after rounds of bleaching and coloring. Hopefully this can work some magic to my hay like hair.

Happy personalizing your own trove at Vanity Trove now!

Going Red with Salon De Choix

Just before I head to the GC, I went to Salon De Choix to get a new coat of color for my hair.

Looking at my hair, of course I need a new color before heading for my holiday! 😛

After much consideration, I’ve decided to go red with a tinge of violet hue! Check out the red dye that is going to go on my hair!

Before starting the hair dyeing process, my stylist uses this Scalp Protection Mask on my scalp as it tends to get sensitive.

Massaging it into the scalp before applying the hair dye. This can be added on for just $10!

Check out the redness of the dye after application! It is really intense!

Standard SOP after coloring, Hair treatment time!! My monthly dosage of hair mask infused with Mythic Oil to make the hair silky smooth!

Can you see the hues of red with violet tones? Indeed this is a darker color for the hair but it’s so pretty!! Makes me look fairer too!

Here’s how it looks after being blown dry. It’s a lovely shade of red brown with violet hues. Also if you noticed the ends are of different tones as it was bleached there. So I kind of got a two tone red.

More brown on the top but more red at the ends.

I am loving how it shows different hues at different angles. The red is really gorgeous, and I think I will be sticking to this color for awhile.

Due to the previous bleached end, I get to have a two tone red. The red at the ends have now faded to a lighter red after a couple of washes but still as pretty!

I definitely will want to go under the sun more with this hair color. Simply because the color looks amazing under sunlight! Check this out!!

This is also a hair color that I wanted last time but never really managed to achieve.

Onboard the Joyride! To Joyville!

One fine Saturday afternoon…

This bus came along and me with a group of bloggers decided to go on it.

Hmmm, where is this weird guy bring us to?

Oh hey! We have this sweet lady handing out chocolates to us!

A ticket to Joyville and a bar of Marvelous Creations from Cadbury! This is getting really exciting!

Reached our destination and our humorous bus hosts posed for us for some photos of the Joyrider!

In we enter to a magical afternoon of Joy in Joyville!

3 new flavors of the Marvelous Creations Chocolate bars means 3 ambassadors! We have LadyIronChef representing the Jelly Crunchie Bits, Beatrice representing the Jelly Popping Candy Beanies and Maureen representing the Peanut Toffee Cookie.

Hitting the pack each to reveal many bars of chocolates!

I was looking at them searching through the many chocolate bars. Wanted to join them but ended up eye power-ing as I was in tight jeans and tall heels which made it difficult for me to squeeze in.

This was the special chocolate bar they were searching for and there were 3 of these. But apparently there was only two in the pile somehow. So Kelvin, PR for Cadbury found the third bar and wanted to throw it in the pile for grabs. Remember I was near the pile but was just standing there? So I somehow managed to catch the bar of chocolate before it landed in the pile. 😛 Lucky lucky~

Magician in the house! We have Huron Low who performed some pretty mind blowing tricks that day. How did he managed to switched the place of a piece of card that is personalized with a piece of chocolate in a sealed pack. I’ve no idea.

The star of the day! The Marvelous Creations Chocolate bars!! Available in 3 flavors but for the small bars, it’s only available in Jelly Popping Candy and Beanies and Jelly & Crunchie Bits. The Peanut Toffee Cookie one is only available in the big bars. I personally love the Jelly & Crunchie Bits one after eating a few bars.

Here’s Mint munching on a Jelly Popping Candy and Beanies Bar! Look at the chocolate bar, each piece is of a different shape!

Then it’s photo taking time! What’s an event without cam-whoring! 😛 Here’s a photo with the funny bus host who tried to charge us for the bus ride all in good humor.

And a photo with the pretty balloons and almost empty chocolate stand which was swept away by us blogger. 😛

Loads of photos were taken at a photo booth by Hello Stranger. But instead of spamming you with the photos we took, here’s a shot of the hard copies with the chocolates!! XD

Do you want to have a ride on the Joyrider? You can! Simply spend $20 on Cadbury chocolates and you get to charter the Joyrider for an hour! How cool is that? The bus is really fun!! Log on to Joyrider.Sg for more information!

Don’t forget to also check out Cadbury’s FB page for more updates on Joyville!

Writing this post reminds me that I need to go try that bar of Peanut Toffee Cookie!
