With the new normal, more and more small eateries are providing delivery. Today we take a look at Overly Cheezy Pizza, located in Hougang, and see how it fares against the big pizza players that we are used to.
I received the Set Meal 2 (Worth $49.90) which includes 1 Large Pizza, 1 Regular Pizza, 1 Cheezy Salted Egg Fries, Chocolate Lava(replaced with curly fries as it’s OOS at the point of my order) and 1 bottled soft drink.
My pizza options are Smoky Beef Salami and Trufflicious Wild Mushroom. Definitely recommend the latter if you’re a Truffle fan. The salami option is tad salty to me and my family’s taste buds but overall pretty decent. I also like how the pizzas are thin crusts. That’s by default a plus point!
With pizza deliveries, the main issue is if the pizza is delivered to you hot? And I must say Overly Cheezy definitely pass this test! The pizzas are still hot when I received them and the cheese in my pizza still pulls.
I’ve received both the Cheezy Salted Egg Fries and the Curly Fries in my order. Do note that the standard set meal includes a Chocolate Lava Cake instead of the Curly Fries.
The Curly Fries are pretty decent, nothing fantastic to shout about it. But I do enjoy the Salted Egg Fries which comes with the Nacho Cheese Dip. It’s not overly salty and have the fragrance of the Salted Egg flavour. Who knew that Salted Egg and Cheese gels so well together!
Worth It?
I will definitely order from Overly Cheezy Pizza again as they do offer unique flavours that you can’t find elsewhere. I do enjoy the Trufflicious Wild Mushroom Pizza especially.
Their pricing are also pretty reasonable and comparable. Their Regular pizzas go for $22 for 2 and Large Pizzas go for $33 for 2 if you’re just looking to satisfy the pizza craving. Otherwise, checkout their Set Meals option to feed a bigger party!
