Cousins* Annual Picnic V

5th Annual Picnic at the Barrage! Missing Conan, Kaixin and Dawn who left early! Credits to JingLong for above collages!

The annual picnic is one of our traditions, to gather and just chill and take down memories in form of photos. It’s a celebration of our friendship!

We have a little one with us this time! Jiaqi’s 8 month old nephew who’s so adorable! Who knows, couple of years down the road we will be bringing out our own kids for the gathering. Lol

The girls! Missing Dawn who left early and Kaixin who’s not there. We don’t initially have so many girls in the group but our guys got girlfriends who eventually got so close that we became one big family! Kudos to RX and Amanda who made the effort to join us on the many gatherings while sacrificing quality couple time. :p

And the boys! I can’t believed that I’ve known Weijie since 2008 which means I known him for nearly 7 years already. Missing Conan who sadly kena NDP duty.

Cousins* officially bonded since 2010 with the beginnings of our many traditions. Many people often mistakes us as real cousins. Lol. From bloggers, to friends and I’ll say we are like family now. The best thing that ever happened to me from blogging is Cousins*. Many more years ahead of us, many more picnics, many more Xmas staycations and many more memories to be created.

Christmas Staycation at Capri By Fraser

Since Studio M in 2010, it had became a tradition for us ( cousins*) to have a staycation every year to celebrate Christmas.

This year, our 4th year, we had our Staycation at Capri By Fraser. One of the main reasons we decided on this hotel is because they have a kitchenette that we could use to cook our own meals.

Let me show you some photos of the room first.

Here’s the main area, the bed and lounge. There’s actually a separator thing you can put down at night to border off the sleeping area which is pretty cool!

The not so well equipped Kitchenette but sufficient for us. It will be great if they have a toaster oven.

Here’s the toilet which has two doors. One leading into the bedroom and the other leading to the wardrobe which links to the doorway and kitchen. The toilet is very spacious, which is comparable to the MBS one.

The kitchen was mainly utilize by me. We bought loads of food like seaweed chicken, nuggets etc. We also have spaghetti with two choice of sauce. Two packets of spaghetti is too much for even 12 people. So you know how much not to cook if you’re cooking for a party.

Check out our Christmas dinner! We also had roast chicken, ham and ribs that are already cooked.

Always take photo before eating. But to be honest, by the time all the food is cooked, most of the food are already cold. But still taste good! 🙂

This year, we decided to do a Secret Santa for our gift exchange and we took turns to hide our presents in the room. It was hectic when we all go around searching for our gifts. But it was super fun too! Counsin*, let’s do thing every year!

Us with our gifts! Jiaqi is my Secret Santa, thanks for the hand creams! 🙂

After that is dessert time! I ordered a cake from Temptations as a Christmas present to the rest. And I even *ahem* designed the cake myself. Which explains the spelling error. I didn’t realized it when I send in the draft! LOL! Totally joke of the day. But I’m glad everyone like the cake. 🙂

This year, Jing Long thought of a game, Blind Mice which is something like catching. Just that the catcher had to be blindfolded. I tell you, it’s was super fun that we were playing till 1.30am. LOL.

Next morning, couple of us decided to wake up early and utilize the hotel facilities since we have late check out at 2 pm instead of the usual 12 pm. Even though it was freezing cold, we still went for a dip in the pool! I think we spent 40 minutes in the pool then went for shower before we head back up to the room to prepare breakfast.

So for breakfast, I took over the stove again. Cooked the scrambled eggs, fried the chicken franks and Hash browns.

Taken from my instagram (@forest330). That is some awesome breakfast we managed to whip up! And kudos to Jing Long for the nice plating!

The lighting is the morning was awesome so it’s camwhore time! Just going to post two photos here! Haha.

4th Christmas Staycation success! Where shall we go next year?

Happy Boxing Day!

Annual Cousins* X’mas Partycation

Third year in the running. I’m so glad I had the idea of having a staycation for X’mas back in 2010 and now it’s our tradition. XD

This time round, we decided we want to move away from mainland and head to Sentosa! I booked a Deluxe Queen Room at the Siloso Beach Resort. The location is pretty good as it’s just a short walk from the Beach Station.

Here’s a photo of the room after our invasion. 😛 The room is pretty nice and I think it would be perfect for a couple’s retreat.

Making use of the strategic location that we are in, we decided to have our very own Running Man games, Singapore edition!

I’m very sure that you fans out there will understand the games we are playing by seeing the photo above! Couple race!! Each couple will need to go to 3 different locations in Sentosa and take specific photos. And of course, breaking of the bands means you’re out!

With 4 of us wearing the Running Man shirts with the name tags, we definitely caught loads of eyeballs while running around the island. It was one whole lot of fun! And I’m thinking we need one of these shirts for all Cousins*.

Oh look! Animals lurking! Haha! We decided to have something like a Pajamas Party and some of us decided to buy these cute Pjs. Mine is just the head scarf though. Haha~ This is taken after we came back from swimming/floating in the Hotel landscape Spring water pool! The pool is super awesome, so glad that we make use of it!

Gift exchange time!! That’s Angie getting the present I prepared! One of the best presents ok! It’s a craftholic! 😛

Cousins* photo!! Dawn was super sweet by preparing a small gift for everyone. Every year there will be someone who will prepare something for everyone. First year was Jiaqi, second year was Andy, third year is Dawn~ Who will do that for the fourth year? Hehe. XD

And as tradition goes, when the drinking game starts whatever happens, stays in the hotel room. But honestly the 2nd year and 3rd year was never as happening as the 1st. 😛 Don’t worry, no one puke rainbow.

Now, maybe it’s time to start keeping a lookout for a hotel for our 4th party this year.

Sentosa with the Cousins*

Times like this are meant to be recorded down and kept as precious memories. It’s only with them, will there be all the unglam and crazy moments. Being in my most natural self, in front of these people whom I loved. XD Can you imagined that we all knew each other through blogging? Blogging brought us together, and us being genuine with each other is what kept us tight.

Trying to take a group shot in water!

With the girls! Yes, VVeijie is counted as a girl cause he’s my sista.

Lying on the beach.
VVeijie and me swam all the way to the other side. So we literally ran back from the bridge to join in this photo. 大変た!

We kind of had a “ritual” of throwing everyone in the sea. First victim was Yz, followed by Andy and then it was me, KX, Conan and then Jiaqi. And that was me being thrown in the the water. >~< This was caught on film if I’m not wrong.

Typical scene where some looked on when one is being thrown into the sea and the rest walking back up from the sea. LOL.

Another group photo! With everyone in!

You can’t stay in a position like that safe. That makes you the target. Lol. Water is still ok, but when sand is involved. Disastrous.

Me caught on film, nomming away.

And this time is the girls caught on film while being photographed. Love candids as such.

Lastly, another candid of me caught on film while laughing and testing out my water gun in a crab form.

Our day did not end there. We continued all the way till dark, trying out Running Man games. After heading out of Sentosa, dinner at KFC plus a mini surprise for Birthday girl Limei. Then it was finding a spot to settle down for some heart to heart talk. I reach home at around 4 plus 5 in the morning. Tiring but a day well spent with the awesome Cousins*.

JayBee with the Cousins

It’s JayBee with the Cousins!! This is like our very first out of Singapore trip together even though it’s only to JayBee!! So dear Meldric is going to be enlisting very soon on the 12th June! And this trip is like a gathering before he enlist! He signed on for 5 years with the Police Force and I definitely wish him all the best. I’m pretty sure he’ll do fine. The army boys in our gang, Weijie have just recently ORD and Andy is going to get promoted soon I think. LOL.

So basically, all we did is to eat, shop, watch movie, shop, eat! Most of the time we were eating or munching on snacks while shopping. Haha!

Here’s our Brunch!! We had roasted chicken, roasted duck, char siew and roasted pork, kailan with oyster sauce. Whole meal cost us RM102.40 for the 9 of us. 😛

It’s also the first time for me to take a bus while in JB! I used to always just take the taxi when I went with The Mum. RM1.50 only for the bus ride to KSL where we watched the movie Piranha 3DD. It’s a lame movie, don’t waste your money to watch it. Lucky the ticket is only RM11. 😛

Dinner was Zhi Char!! WeiJie lead us to this alley where there are many stalls! Hygiene were not the best but the food is good! I think dinner cost us around RM160? We each forked out RM20 and got back RM2. Lol.

Cousins photo at the bus interchange. LOL! <3

Here’s a photo of Meldric and his girlfriend, Amanda! Don’t they look alike?

Best photo I’ve taken on the day. There’s no need for hug and kisses, just simple holding of hands shows all the love. =)

I love the cousins and it warms my heart to see them all happy. XD
