Here’s why I quit the gym.

I got bored of the workouts I’m doing at the gym.

I started my gym membership along with a PT package. Training with a trainer is much easier as you don’t have to wreck your brains on what to do and how to do. You just follow instructions and try not to die from the training.

Hiring a PT is expensive though so I eventually stopped and thought that hey I can make my own way around the gym now. I know what to do. I did but I also found myself repeating the same exercises that I’m comfortable in and avoiding exercises that I hate.

Eventually I find myself dreading to head to the gym. What was once an escape for me became dreadful. That was a sign that I should cease my membership.

The gym life is not for me

At this point of my life, going to the gym is not for me. I did think of maybe switching gyms or joining group classes but I decided against it. (I had my phase of joining group classes and also stopped going. Notice a pattern here?)

Back to home workouts

I enjoy my privacy. I enjoy the comfort I’ve at home. No excuse for not heading out to the living room and lay out my exercise mat and just sweat it out. Although I’m facing an issue in making it into a routine as I’ve recently started a new job as well. Still trying my very best to get used to early mornings and early nights. I also want to get back to swimming as well.

Staying active for health reasons. I will talk about body image issues next time.

XOXO,
