Hair Makeover at Salon De Choix

Hi all! I went for a hair makeover at Salon De Choix few days ago! Spent a total of 8 hours in the salon and wow, it’s all worth it as I really love the end results. Thing is, I think the chairs there are very comfortable, cause I don’t really feel stiff or anything though I sat there for 8 hours straight. 😛

Here’s some interior photos of the salon. It’s very classy and comfortable.

They also had a private area for VIPS/Celebrities. Cool eh?

Look at the lovely wall mural, so chic and girly! 🙂

Alright, now let me bring your through my hair makeover! First, show you all a photo of my hair before anything is done to it. Hair is dry, ends are dry and it’s like multi colored. There’s like dark roots, dark brown, light brown and reddish brown.

Jerry, my stylist asked me what I wanted and I told him I wanted purple hair. 🙂 He suggested to add some green along with the purple and I quite like the idea. So I’m going to have Dip Dye Violet and Neon Green hair with a Matte Brown base. Jerry then proceeded to cut my hair. Chopping off the ends and went on to layer it. A lot of my hair was cut off but as I’ve really thick hair, it’s not that bad.

The next step is to bleach the lower segment of my hair. First time bleaching my hair! Was pretty anxious about the results. But I know that to get purple hair which I’ve always wanted, bleaching is a must.

Got this UFO looking thingy over my hair to heat up the hair and speed up the bleaching process.

And here’s after washing off the bleach and blown dry. I can has blonde hair. It’s actually should be bleached another round to make it lighter but my stylist was worried that my hair could not take it, so no more bleaching.

Then it’s the coloring step! My base color was done first, but brown is nothing special to talk about so no photos. 😛 But look, purple dye is being applied to my hair!

And we also have green dye applied! I know it looks blue and it is blue, but it’s a green dye.

Then we have to wait for some time for the color to set before rinsing. So while waiting, I had cup noodles, biscuits and tea! The cup noodles is definitely a surprise! No worries about being hungry while you are spending a long time in the salon! How thoughtful of them!

By the time I was done with my noodles, and sipping my tea, it’s time to wash the hair!

Special thing about this chair is that it’s a massage chair! I had to lay there for quite some time my hair had to be rinse in sections but it’s super nice to lay down there enjoying the hair wash and massage.

Here’s a sneak peak of the colors! Looks good right?!

Next up is treatment time! The treatment that I’m going to try is by Kerastase. They have different type of treatments for different hair conditions.

So there’s this chart where we first analyse my hair condition. My hair is dry, quite strong and very thick and have done loads of coloring before.

My stylist decided to do full color treatment for me as I’ve done bright colors. So it’s better to cater to the color as we want the color to last long and shine.

Hair wrapped up in plastic for the treatment. Pardon my funny expression. Haha.

Here’s a closer look at the color after rinsing and drying! So pretty I cannot take it!

My stylist tonged my hair and this is the end results! Mad nice right? We have the Violet and the Green blended together so nicely!

Let’s take a look at a side by side comparison photo. Look at the big difference! I can has purple hair now!

My stylist then straighten my hair again for a different look. And it’s quite different for me as I’ve natural waves and I hardly had straight hair on me.

Close up at the colors! Look how nice the violet and green blended together. Once again, this style is called Dip Dye in Violet and Neon Green with Matte Brown base. It might be a little different from the dip dye you see out there (those that you can see a literal line between the base and color), the way that my stylist does it is more natural and the color blends better together as seen. XD

Let me spam more photos of my new hair ok? Here’s my hair after 2 days and 1 wash.

I was out for an event and dinner and got many compliments on my hair! It just so nice, of course people will compliment! Haha! And I realized my hair is not really dry though I bleached it, I did not spam treatment either, just the usual amount.

Last shot of my hair, a close up!
