A dress for every Occasion~

A woman can never have enough dresses. We always need a different dress for different occasion. Though it’s never easy to find the right dress for the right occasion or one that fits nicely.

Personally, I prefer to shop for shoes, bags and accessories more then shopping for dresses. Simply because there’s limited places for me to shop at due to me having a bigger frame and bosom. I cannot count the number of times I tried on a dress that I like, but it can’t fit at the chest area. >~<

Hence it was a pleasant surprise for me when I know that Occasion carries a variety of sizes for all their dresses! Regardless if you’re of a bigger frame like me, or have a petite frame, you will definitely find something that fits!

I tried on about 6 dresses and the cutting for all is super flattering. This is like one of the rare times where I try on dresses happily. Hee~

These pretty cupcakes were specially prepared for the “Blogger Sunday”. We get to take our time looking at all the pretty dresses and enjoying sweet treats at the same time! How thoughtful!

There’s also yummy chocolate tarts~~ No worries about eating too much, the dresses here don’t show it. 😛

Occasion have a wide variety of dresses and the short dresses are prices at $88. They also provide Bridesmaid Dresses Package and each dress can go as low as $62.25 depending on the bundle deals.

If you are a bride to be, this is the place to come and get dresses for your bridesmaids! Be it same colored dresses in different designs or even the same designs in rainbow colors! Just take your pick!!

Just out the detail in the photo above!

Occasion also carry long dresses!

Priced at $138 – $168, which I find very reasonable. Some of the dresses are ROM worthy! And if you do have a Black Tie event to attend, this is the rack that you should be checking out!

Corsages and other accessories can also be found at Occasion! Look at the lovely colors!

Tube dresses in more sophisticated darker colors. From the sweet pastels to these elegant tones, they really have it all.

Shawls can also be found at Occasion in a variety of colors to suit your dress!

The first dress I tried on is this mint chiffon pleated dress. Sweet and perfect for a Causal Formal event.

Second dress I tried on is this red frills dress. It might seems more orange but it’s due to the slight yellow lighting in the changing room. Don’t you think the frills at the bottom is so cute!! XD

I love the material too! So comfy!! And the color is really cheerful!

Peach Spag dress that I’ve tried on. This dress comes with padding which means you can keep your bra at home. Haha~ Do you see how the dress falls nicely? Loves!!

I love the professionalism by the sales staff too! I actually asked for an L size to try on for the above dress but she pass me a M size because the cutting of the dress is bigger. And she’s right, it fits nicely! They also help by adjusting the dresses, zipping us up and tying up the ribbons in a way that makes us look slimmer. 😛

As I’ve mentioned, they have long dresses at Occasion too and how could I not take the chance to try on a few~ I love this black dress as it not only made me look slimmer but taller too! Super tempted to get this dress but I don’t really have a good Occasion to wear it to. All my cousins of age are already married. LOL. Maybe when one of the Cousins* gets engaged or married, I could get a long dress for the Occasion then!

Brought YingZi along with me to shop as I knew she love dresses! She looks super lovely in the white long dress above!!

Here’s us in the same dress, different colors, different sizes. Get what I mean when I say that Occasion have a wide range of sizes for the petite like YingZi and for the bigger framed girls like me?

This dress is unique in a way that the shoulder part can be wore in several ways. You can just leave it down or tie it into a bow knot. One dress different looks!

All the designs found in Occasion are designed by local designers. Although they do not provide customization, you can definitely find something that you want as the variety there is huge!

Also tried on this sophisticated halter neck dress and it look good too! This is good for either work or dinner. Just throw on a blazer for a more professional look!

A photo with fellow MFP blogger Xinyi!! And that’s my loots there on the floor~ Haha.
I’ve ended up buying two dresses which I just have to top up the difference after offsetting with the $100 vouchers that Occasion has kindly offered us. Can you guess which dresses I bought? Not the long ones, the short ones.

I got the red frilly dress and the purple halter neck one! XD

I believe that I will definitely go back and get some of their long dresses! Too pretty to pass!!

Now you know where to go if you needs a dress for your Prom, Formal Dinners, ROM or dresses for your bridesmaids!

Occasion have two outlets located at Raffles City #03-29B  and 100AM Shopping Mall (Amara Hotel) #02-18. The outlet featured is the 100AM outlet, which is also the bigger boutique.

Occasion is also a sister boutique of JOOP.

Sentosa Spooktacular 2012: Get spooked at Fort Siloso

It’s the Halloween season again and it’s time for Sentosa Spooktacular once more! I’ve always been wanting to visit Sentosa for Spooktacular and I’ve finally got the chance! Thanks OMY.SG!
Though, I did not know for sure whether it’s good or not. Haha. I’m those 怕死还要玩 type of person. I am very sure I would be scared till death at the event but I still die die want to go. But hey, I’m survived it, which is why I’m here typing this post. 😛

Brought along Weijie, my dear Sista to be my Human Shield. Good choice cause he 不怕死, bad choice as he like to chiong. Lol.

Take heed of the warning. Lucky for us, the 11 of us that stick together all made it back alive. 😛

The poor dude died there waiting. Look at how YingZi is laughing happily but not for long.

Trying to act like I’m scared while making my way to take the Ghost Rider to Fort Siloso. I did not have to act, cause I was pretty much screaming away the moment I stepped into Fort Siloso. Haha.

After reaching taking the train to Beach Station, there’s the Ghost Rider waiting to pick up and and bring us to Fort Siloso. But beware, there might be something else catching the bus with you too…

This year at Spooktacular, prepare yourselves to brave through 5 Horror Trails at Fort SIloso. They are Ouija Board (碟仙), Camp Berhantu (冤鬼聚集营), Deadly Doll Studio (死亡娃娃工作室), The Land of Lost Souls (幽魂地带) and The Last Sequel (最后续集). If you do not have the guts, you can choose to skip the trails and just roam around Fort Siloso, though I do not think that it’s safer.

Do you know that Fort Siloso have never been opened to the public at night before? It have closed at 6 pm and for the first time, it’s going to be open at night to you. How’s Fort Siloso at night? I’ve bet you never seen it before right? I’ve heard and met some 200 ‘residents’ that roam around Fort Siloso at night. They are pretty friendly and would love to meet you all.

The long road up to the trails at Fort Siloso is not a quiet and peaceful walk at all. There’s many friendly residents there, too friendly I would say.

Here’s me, WeiJie and Ying Zi~ Taken after meeting some of the residents, before the trails.

Some of the tombs around. I’m pretty sure I met some of the owners. Hmmm…..

I found this beside a stall selling drinks… So I’m not sure what happened to it? Maybe one of the ingredients of the drinks? Anyways, drink at your own safety.

Do you remember YingZi smiling happily earlier? She met someone who seems to love her that she was being followed everywhere. And getting screamed on for several times too.

三缺一, want to join them for Mahjong?

Welcome to Sawadee Airlines…
Taken at The Land of Lost Souls, one of the horror trails and one of the good ones I must say.

I actually never did read this poster at the trail but I was telling myself I need to take some photos while hiding my face behind Weijie’s back. I gave up taking photos at the trails, trying to prevent myself from getting a heart attack. But now that I’ve read this poster, I fully understand the encounter right after. It’s one humor part out of the horror.

After surviving all 5 trails, we slowly made our way back out of Fort Siloso, taking the same long route. This time, I’ve already been scared until sian already. So can happily go take photos with the friendly residents. That was a smile which I forced, I’m actually thinking there better not be anything coming from the back.

This guy! He managed to scare the hell out of me when I first make my way up to the Fort. That’s why I die die must take a photo with him before I leave the place. I think he scared me at least 3 times. Damn.

That’s Weijie acting shocked when he’ve been laughing throughout the whole night!

Eh? Long lost brothers?

Something coming out from the smoke. And she does not belong to Fort Siloso, she lives at Bedok Reservoir…..

A group photo with some of the more friendly residents. Haha, look at Smith~

Sentosa Spooktacular was pretty awesome. Come play if you dare. I survived it, can you?

Fort Siloso will be open on the 19,20, 26 to 28 nights for you all, to visit. Over 200 friendly residents are waiting for you there, some might like you too much that they don’t want you to leave… Visit at your own risk. You don’t want to be stranded at the Land of Lost Souls nor become a doll. Or do you?

Standard tickets are at $48, Islander card holders are entitled to 15% off! I would highly recommend you to get the fast pass to speed up your death. Ops, I mean make your experience more enjoyable. I mean you don’t want to be queuing for like 1 whole hour to meet your doom right? 😛

More information can be found at .

Do say hi to that yellow face dude in tiger prints who scared me for like 3 times ok? But to be honest, he’s nothing compared to those at the trails. But if you’re lucky, you might catch some of the residents dancing to the most hit song recently. Did I mention Oppa, Zombie style? Or was it Jiang Shi style? Hmmm, I’m pretty sure I met a Jiang Shi when I came out of the Doll Studio in one piece.

Get Spooked at Sentosa Spookacular~ I’ve survived it, can you? Or will you?

My Customized Satchel by The Leather Satchel Co

So, I’ve place my order for my customized satchel with The Leather Satchel Co on the 7th of August. And I’ve received it today, on the 17th of August. That makes it 10 days, from ordering, to crafting of the satchel, packing it and sending it all the way from the UK to Singapore.

To be honest, I was still wondering what parcel am I receiving when the DHL courier man called to check if I’m at home and he will send the parcel over before 1pm. Then when I finally climbed out of bed and took a closer look, I was totally surprised that it was the satchel.

I mean I was just told that it was sent on the 15th August, and while tracking it, it was just dispatch from like Germany yesterday morning and today, I’ve it in my hands. I was pleasantly surprised!

I cut opened the DHL plastic wrapping to find this beautiful package. Wrapped up in brown paper and twine.

Included are the swatches of the leather I’ve chosen for my satchel. Just look at how pretty the packaging is even though its only brown paper and twine!

Included is this dreamy envelope with Alice from Alice in the Wonderland on it. Inside is a type out note that is addressed to me with information on registering for my 5 years warranty. Yes, you did not read wrongly, 5 years.

I’ve ordered a customized 14″ crafted with Oxford Blue and Baby Pink leathers. Added a briefcase handle and they make the straps detachable so I can carry it two ways. I had FJF embossed in gold and I opted for gold hardware too. The end results is just awesome.

FJF embossed. It’s my satchel, no one else can use! Haha!

Hardware in gold. It might seem like a minor detail, but the gold adds to the vintage feel. I’m sure it will not look as nice with standard silver hardware. And also, since my letters are embossed in gold, I wanted to hardware to be in gold too so that it blends together.

Details of the briefcase handle and the hook of the strap. Look at the threading! So neat and tidy! The workmanship is just awesome and there’s nothing I can pick on!

Hee, here’s Surfer Neko guarding the satchel!

FutsuNeko showing you the full glory of the satchel! Ain’t it beautiful?

If you’re interested, do check out for information on pricing, customization options and color guide etc. Check out their FB page, for photos of the satchels they have crafted!

I’m very very pleased with my whole experience with The Leather Satchel Co! Prompt replies (not immediate but I did not had to wait long) and fast delivery!

I’ll definitely recommend The Leather Satchel Co if you’re interested in owning a leather satchel! Check out my post on leather swatches sample from them!

I’m seriously in love with my satchel now. 😛

Also do check out the post I wrote about the satchel trend!

*All photos are taken using Instagram with my iPhone.*

* Disclaimer: This is not an advertorial in any form. I paid for the satchel with my own money and is not affiliated with The Leather Satchel Co. All opinions are based on my honest feelings.

Ghost On Air Movie Review

Thanks to OMY.SG, I was able to catch the local horror movie <;Ghost On Air>; starring Zhou Chong Qing before it’s released on 10th May.

I would say Horror begins right from the start of the movie all the way till the end. The visuals might not necessarily be very horrifying but accompanied with the sound effects, the scary effect is very much amplified.

The plot of the movie is quite interesting, revolving around the setting of telling ghost stories on Radio. And what happened, if these stories are in fact, true?

I would rate this movie a 3/5. Do catch it when it’s out in the cinemas! Support local production!

Trailer and synopsis below! 😛

A Radio DJ driven to desperation, resorts to telling ghost stories on air, but what if the stories were all not fiction?

“Ping Xiao, a two time “Most Popular DJ” award winner, is suddenly robbed of his successful morning show slot. Jealous at seeing a younger DJ taking his place, he forces himself to conquer painful recurring memories of his deceased girlfriend and tells the ghost stories that was written by her on air. With each painful memory he endures, he regains a small step to his superstardom. However, as he is about to claim his reward, he begins to realize that the stories were not works of fiction, and maybe it wasn’t him telling the stories all along…”
