My Melissa Shoes Obsession

I’ve first bought my very first pair of Melissa back in 2012 and I’ve just recently bought my 8th pair of Melissa Shoes. Melissa shoes is not a super expensive brand but definitely not cheap either. A pair of flats ranges from $100 onwards and heels can hit the $200 range. But I would say Melissa Shoes is definitely worth the investment. I’ve never yet experience a blister on their flats and I would say Melissa Shoes especially the flats are super comfortable to wear. Plus because the shoes are made of plastic, it’s so easy to wash and dry! And they have a signature bubble gum scent from the shoes!

Till date I own 4 pair of flats and 4 pairs of heels from Melissa Shoes. And am definitely slowly switching my shoe collection to mostly Melissa Shoes.

I usually purchase my Melissa Shoes from MDreams which is the local distributor for Melissa Shoes. You can find the boutiques at Wheelock Place and One Raffles Place. They do have counters at Tangs too. They have an online store too but I felt that shoes are best purchased physically as sizes may varies due to different cuttings in different designs. Spend SGD300 in one receipt to gain lifetime VIP membership which entitles you to 10% off future purchases.

I’ve also previously purchased from where they have a huge variety of Melissa Shoes, Mel Shoes, Zaxy and many other jelly shoes brand. Good service and lower than retail prices but most are Pre Order basis. They do have designs which are not available in Singapore too! So if you’re confident of your shoe sizes and don’t mind waiting, you can shop at starave!

My latest purchase from Melissa Shoes. The Melissa Strips in Blue. I actually wanted the black but they ran out of my size and I really like the design so I got it in blue instead. I do like the blue but I already have a pair of Melissa Incense Bow in Blue. Luckily, they are of different shades of blue so no repeats! 🙂

It’s about 5 inches tall but super easy and comfortable to walk in as the platform is high and the heel is of the chunky type. I don’t usually wear bright colored clothes so it’s good to have bright colored shoes to spice out the whole outfit.

Melissa Shoes have collaboration with designers like Karl Lagerfeld and Jason Wu etc from time to time. I fell in love with the Karl Lagerfeld BlackTie and knew I must get it though it’s slightly more expensive as compare to the usual collection. Check out how cute this pair is!!

And I am already planning my next Melissa Shoes purchase. Just can’t get enough of plastic shoes!

Fashion Loots from Okdgg!

Hi all!
Been awhile since I did a fashion related post!! I was approached by some time back and got the chance to review some fashion loots I chosen from one of their sites, Miss Candy Kr! is a one stop Korean shopping site! You can find not only fashion pieces but also beauty products and many more!!! With many brands under them, you don’t have to look elsewhere!
IMG_3568.JPGMy items came after slightly more then two weeks after my order was placed. This is considered reasonable since shipping is free as long as you hit $100 at Miss Candy. I liked how they pack the items individually and that the shoes come packed without boxed. Saved so much space and weight if you happened to be paying for shipping. 😉
IMG_3569.JPGI was pleasantly surprised as the quality of the clothing are really good and all except one are made in Korea. As of all online shopping experience, there bound to be one piece that is a disappointment. One of the dress I got, is not what I expected mainly on the material. But luckily, it’s only 1 out of 6!
IMG_3572.JPGIMG_3570.JPGIMG_3571-0.JPGThe thing about online shopping is that the size might not fit, especially when it’s stated free size. This is often luck when you place the order to see if it will eventually fit. This denim fits but it’s a little tight at the upper arms. It’s a waste to just out it aside as I really like the material. Hence, I decided to wear it as an off shoulder jacket or around the waist to spice up my otherwise normal outfit.
IMG_3573.JPG This chiffon long sleeve scarf blouse have got to be my favorite clothing piece from my loots! It’s light weighted which is perfect for Singapore’s humid weather and I like the attached scarf design.
IMG_3574.JPG Paired it with a simple black skirt and it gives the preppy kind of look!
IMG_3575.JPG Best item from my loots have to be this pair of simple brown leather boots! And it’s only about 29 USD. It is really light which makes it very easy to walk in and very comfortable! I also love how versatile it is as it is suitable for many looks!

I enjoyed shopping on and had a fuss free shopping experience on the site! Check it out yourself and shop away!!

Tick Tack Shoes by Mitju

Mitju have recently released a new range of Japanese inspired shoes! This range is called the Tick Tack Shoes and is fully customizable!

With 3 different shoe fabric bases(mainly patent, suede and leather),20 over color choices and 60 over accessories that you can “tack” to your shoes, the choice is endless! I had a hard time choosing with such a wide variety of choices.
You can say I’m literally spoilt for choices especially when I’m a shoe fanatic. I’ve over 30 pairs of shoes at home and hardly any space for them! With the new range of Tick Tack shoes, I can have different designs with just one pair of shoes! Imagine the space I will save!

Took a break from choosing and took a shot with William and Maybeline!

You will be given an order form to tick off your selections and the staff will gather the shoes and accessories for you with the form! Pretty neat huh!

Here’s happy me with my final choice!

The base shoe come with two tacks for you to clip on the accessories. It’s really easy!

I’ve picked out classic pieces for the accessories. A simple plastic ribbon in white for that casual sweet look and a black fabric ribbon with blings for a more classy and formal look.

Here’s how they looked like on the base shoe! I’ve chosen patent red for the base as I personally love red shoes and thinks that every woman should own a pair of red shoes, be it flats or heels. (I’ve red wedges, boots, sandal and flats.:P)

And it’s good to know that the base shoes are only priced at $26.90 per pair and accessories are from $6.90-$14.90! Super affordable!

One thing to note is that they are only available at ION and Plaza Singapura outlets. However, they will be available online at sometime in late August, so watch out for it!

Now you know where to shop for shoes! Not to mention, Mitju usual ranges of shoes are very pretty and fashionable too!

New Arm Candy: Daniel Wellington

I was never a watch person. Even if I do wear, it’s usually those cheap fashion watches from fleas. However, I realized that it’s good to actually invest in a good timepiece now that I’m a working adult. I do not want to spend too much though as I know that I will hardly wear it except to work.

I have been seeing these Daniel Wellington watches on Instagram for quite some time and I like the simple design with the colourful Nato straps. Thing is, I don’t really like the large watch face as it seems a little too casual.

And so I was shopping with my colleagues after work one day and I saw that they have the smaller watch face and with Swarovski crystals. Apparently, it’s the latest Classy collection for women.

It didn’t take me long to decide on this Classy Winchester design. The watch face is actually the same but the name varies depending on the strap. I also got the oxford strap which is not pictured. It is also a Nato strap but is red instead of pink as shown. One thing I like about DW is that the straps are interchangeable. You just have to buy one watch and many different straps and you will have many ‘different’ watches.

This is how the watch looks on my wrist besides my Pandora. I think this size fits well on my wrist. I also like that it looks classy enough for formal events.

Daniel Wellington watches are pretty affordable in my opinion. I think it’s a good choice for those who are not so into watches like me.

For those who wants to know where I bought my DW watch, I got it from City Luxe from Ion for $169 and it comes with 2 years warranty.

My Pandora Story

So I’ve just somehow completed my Pandora bracelet so I thought I’ll do a little post on it. Well, there’s still space for another 4 to 6 charms but I thought I’ll leave that for future use.

Here’s a little background about Pandora which is a Danish brand for those who didn’t know. It’s a brand that allows one to create their own statement accessories with their stackable rings, charms bracelets and even necklaces. They even have watches under the brand.

Under the Moments Collection, are the current popular Charms Bracelets. Each and every charm have a meaning behind it. The whole idea of Pandora Charms Bracelets is to allow the creation of each individual life story pieced together by each individual charm. This is where the beauty lies that no two persons will have the same bracelets as we all have different life stories.

And here I present to you, my very own life story in the form of the Pandora Bracelet.

Here’s how my bracelet looks like now with a total of 11 charms. With the Turquoise Murano Glass as the centrepiece, I arranged the charms I have so that they are sort of a mirror image. Of course, I purchased the charms with this arrangement in mind.

The Pandora Bracelet can actually be separated into three sections. Left, Centre and Right. With two clips in place, it’s easier to arrange the charms in sections. I’ve friends asking me if the clips are necessary and I would say yes. The clips will prevent the charms from rolling all over and keep them in place in their sections when you don’t have many charms.

Globe Clip: Being able to travel around the world is my dream since young. Ever since I’m financially stable with a job, I’ve been trying to travel at least twice a year. This Globe sort of represents the globetrotter wannabe in me.

Pink Fizz Murano Glass: Pink is my very first favourite colour and this charm kinds of represent the fuzzy dreams I always have.

Flower Clip with Amethyst: I’m always fond of the Amethyst stone and like most girls, I love flowers.

Fairy Tale Book Silver Charm: Despite the harsh reality of life, I still believe in fairy tales. I believe that dreams will come true eventually.

Pink Heart Dangling: We are need that little love and I want to believe in it still. There’s a reason why I put it right next to the fairy tale charm.

Turquoise Faceted Murano Glass: I was attracted by this Turquoise Murano Glass when I saw it in Gold Coast and I knew I had to get it. It’s a colour that became my recent favourite. It’s also a colour that reflects better on the sea colour.

David Star Dangling with White Zirconia: The very first star that I’ve learnt to draw consists of two triangles which made up the 6 pointed David star. I always preferred this compared to the standard 5 pointed star.

Camera Silver Charm: I love photography and as a blogger, this is like the perfect charm.

Paved Stars Clip: Looking up into the skies full of stars on a quiet night is one of the many memories and moments that I can never forget and can never get tired of.

Blue Fizz Murano Glass: Water might not be my element but I’ve always thought that I belong to the water. Doesn’t the colour and the bubbles in this glass bead reminds you of the sea. I put this together with the seashell charm to represent my fondness for the sea.

Seashell SIiver Charm: I love seashells! Used to pick up little shells from the beach and bring them home.

My bracelet is not really a moments bracelet but more of a character kind of bracelet. It’s one that reflects me. 🙂

Are you a fan of Pandora too? Do you collect the charms based on moments or just based on the charms you liked? Or you have other charms bracelets? Share it with me!
