Drink Culture

Attended an event at Drink Culture.

I love the deco of the place!

Here’s me~ XD

Comfy sofas! I would love to have something like that in my future home if I will ever have one. LOL.

Logo printed on the chairs. It gives a very vintage feel I think.

Here’s the bar! Super nice! If only the bar I worked at was this nice. LOL.

Another shot of the bar~

We had a demo session during the event, showcasing the how the products actually work in such a way that it’s good for our skin.

First up was on oil based MU remover. It’s good to use an oil cleanser that actually can mix with water so that it can remove the dirt/makeup efficiently and not clog our pores.  The milky one is the one which mixes well with water.

And here’s another one on facial cleansers. These 2 cleansers are mixed with sodium chloride, the closest thing to the sweat that are produced from our sweat glands. A good cleanser would be able to dissolve the sodium chloride. But if the cleanser became lumpy after mixing with the sodium chloride, it means that it can’t really cleanse our face well. Imagine that lump white stuff on our face, and the fact that it will turn hard overtime. >< Time to test out the cleansers we used at home! If it turned lumpy as seen in the picture below, best to throw it out! LOL!

Last demo was on anti-oxidants! How can it help with pigmentation? Let’s see with our own eyes! Here’s a sheet of paper stained by iodine.

Add the drop of Anti-oxidant chemical on it and see what happens,

If only they have such instant effects on the pigmentations on our skin. ><

Here’s another random pic! My drink of the day, Desert Rose, a very refreshing drink.

With Michelle! XD

Kimberly and Charlene with the pearl curtains! Rusty was supposed to be in the photo too but she was looking at Michelle’s camera instead in this pic.

Here’s all three of them gorgeous ladies!

And here’s one with Rusty and Michelle! Group photo of all 5 of us is with Michelle.~

Received a goodie bag at the end of the event which includes skincare samples, a BB cream and a cleansing oil which was used in the demo. Will be reviewing the products in a separate post! So look out for it!

I really like the environment of Drink Culture, the furnishing and atmosphere. Will be going back again! XD

Haul: Heavy Rotation Lipsticks

Saw these Heavy Rotation Lipsticks at Watsons the other day and I got 2 of the pinkish ones. They have 4 shades in total, 2 pinkish tones, 2 peachy tones. I got them in No.1 and No.3.

Packaging is simple, not too fancy. I really like the black and gold combinations.

Swatches under normal light. No.1 on top and No.3 on the bottom.

Here’s under sunlight.

The lipsticks are very creamy  and matt but can be a lil drying for some. But it’s fine for me if I wear a lipbalm under it.

I personally prefer No.3 myself, it’s like the perfect nude shade for me, I can wear it alone without gloss. No.1 is a lil light but as long as I paired it with a pink gloss, it looks fine.

These cost $16.90 each. XD

First Ever Chanel Haul~

When talking about Chanel, you must have immediately thought of the bags etc.

But here in my blog, you won’t see Chanel bags or any branded bags.

Branded make up is all you will see here. XD

Don’t know why but I can bear to splurge on make up but never on bags and clothes. 😛

Anyways, I got just 3 items from Chanel but it cost me quite a bomb already. 😛 In fact I only wanted to get just that one item but ended up with 3. LOL.

Here’s the 3 items in the lovely black and gold Chanel packaging. XD

First up is the MAT LUMIERE EXTREME foundation. I’ve always heard good things about Chanel foundation so I decided to try one out and the BA recommended this to me.

I’m loving the packaging of Chanel Makeup, so simple and elegant.

Close up of the foundation. I got this in 10 Beige Clair which is the lightest shade if I’m not wrong. This cost me $85 but as it’s refillable I can just buy the refill at $63 the next time. Hopefully this foundation is good enough for me to repurchase it. XD

Here’s the star product of this haul. It’s the bronzer from the LE summer collection, which I’m eying ever since one of my fellow beauty blogger mentioned about it.

Look at the lovely Chanel logo~ So pretty!

Here’s a better picture to show the colors. I got it in Bronze Rose, which is the pinkish shade out of the two. The other one is Bronze Coral which is peachier.

This is like a multi purpose product, can be used as a bronzer, blush, highlighter and even as eye shadows. This cost me $77.

Lastly is this Sheer Illuminating Base which I never intend to get. But I was sold when the BA tested it out on me. My face felt so smooth after applying it!

It comes in a frosted glass bottle and also comes with a spatula.

It’s a creamy texture but a little runny. Good things it comes with the spatula so that we won’t make a mess when getting the product out of the bottle. This cost $58 for 30ml.

Will be reviewing the products soon after I tested them out! XD

But I would highly recommend you lovely ladies to go grab the bronzer if you love bronzer/blushes etc, it’s a item not to be missed!

That’s all for my first Chanel haul and it will not be the last. 😛
