Etude House Any Cushion

I’ve mentioned about the Etude House Any Cushion previously in my January Favorites post and finally I got the time to snap some photos for a proper review.

Etude BB cushion1

I purchased my Any Cushion from Gmarket hence it is white in color which is the Korean version as compared to the pink version available in Singapore.

bb cushion2

Similar to the many BB cushions out there in the market, the product itself is stored in a sponge at the bottom compartment and the puff is separated by a flap.

cushion puff

Personally I feel that the puff is the star of the product itself. With this puff, you press onto the sponge to get the product on and pat it onto the skin. By doing so, there won’t be excess product per application which means you apply just the right amount. Patting on the product with this puff also evenly spreads out the product, giving you a smooth even finish. I am pretty sure I can get the same effect with any other BB creams using this puff.

One thing I don’t really like about the cushion system is that it can get quite messy. And after using it for quite some time, you will realized that it’s quite hard to get the cream out of the sponge. I thought perhaps it is finishing hence, I changed the refill. Out of curiosity, I took out the sponge and found that there’s still quite a bit of product left. Through this cushion system, I think there’s too much product wastage as it will be too troublesome to get the remaining cream by removing the sponge etc.

No doubt it’s a convenient product, especially for travels.

Here’s a before and after photo of me wearing the Any Cushion. It has great coverage and can last pretty long. Oil control is decent.

On my lips is the Etude Vivid Pop Stick with Clio Lipnicure layered on top. Review of the Lipnicure will be out soon. 🙂

Overall I rate the Any Cushion a 3.5/5. It would be better if the product itself is designed to better minimize wastage of the product. I hope this review is useful!

White Label Premium Placenta’s Elastic White Skin BB Cream Review

I received the White Label BB Cream for review from BeautyDirect just after CNY and I have been using it since.

The White Label BB cream comes with skincare benefits with the presence of the Premium Placenta contents which helps to keep the skin nourished and moisturised. It also comes with an SPF of 25 PA ++.

It comes in a small 30g tube which can last you for a very long time. I must also say that it is very affordable at $14.90.

The colour of this BB Cream is towards the yellow tone but when applied to the face, it will blend into the skin and brightens up and evens the skin tone.

Coverage of this BB Cream is light to medium.

The texture of this cream is a little thick and I also find that it dries up pretty fast when applied. Hence, I actually find myself to prefer applying this with a stippling brush instead of using my fingers as I do with other BB creams. I find that using a brush enable me to spread the product faster and more evenly on the skin.

The lasting power of this BB Cream is quite decent when set with a powder. I would say it last a good 6 hours.

It’s great for sensitive skin as my current thin skin did not react to it.

I find myself reaching out for this BB cream very often as it give a nice glowy natural finish and feels really light on the skin!

I rate this a 4.5/5! Would be full stars if the coverage and durability can be a little higher. But I will definitely purchase this when I’m done with it as I think it’s really good for daily use!

The White Label range is available on and at Plaza @ Cosme, Guardian, BHG and John Little.

I hope this review is useful!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush

I’ve purchased these two blush from Sephora two weekends ago when they were having 20% storewide. Tarte is pretty new in the local beauty scene but definitely no stranger to the beauty community world wide. These are retailing for SGD45 each at our local Sephora stores.

There are about 10 or 12 colors available at our local stores and I’ve got them in Natural Beauty and Exposed.

Natural Beauty is a red blush of a satin finish. It might looked a little scary off the pan but it’s very light when applied on the cheeks. Just a little and you can get a nice flush. What I like is that the color is build-able to the saturation of your preference. Pigmentation is great, I would say.

Exposed is apparently one of the popular shades in the beauty community and I can see why after owning it myself. I would describe it as a mauve peach color that goes on beautifully on all skin tones. I’ve pretty fair skin and a light application of Exposed gave me a nice healthy flush. My gf who is about two tones darker wears and it was gorgeous on her, giving her that nice bronzed look.

Here’s a slightly heavy swatch of the blushes for you to see the color payoff.

That’s me wearing Natural Beauty in daylight. I applied slightly heavier to test the pigmentation and lasting power. I wore it for 11 hours straight before removing and it only faded a little into a very natural flush. But I won’t say it’s the same case for Exposed, which faded a bit more.

Did I also mentioned that the packaging is very pretty too? You can differentiate the colors from the casing itself! Am definitely going to purchase the other colors! Overall, I love these blushes and I’m rating them a 5/5!

Review: Klairs Illuminating Supple BB Cream

Hi all!

I’m back with a beauty product review!!

I was sent the Klairs Illumination Supple BB Cream from WishTrend 2 months back and have since used it enough for a proper review!

This BB Cream comes in a 40ml slim tube which makes it easy to carry around! It also have SPF 40 PA ++ which is not too bad.

Here’s a swatch of the BB Cream on black surface. It is of a light tone, and is suitable for most skin tones as it’s of a neutral tone.

A swatch against the back of my hand. The texture of this BB cream is rather light yet still creamy. It blended in well and coverage is pretty good as it can cover up my redness.

I blended it out thickly then thinly towards the left of the hand. A light layer give you that dewy look and if you need more coverage, just add on a bit more product and blend.

Here’s me wearing the BB cream with just loose powder and a little blush. No filter on this photo, taken under natural light. It covers up my redness pretty well and even the skin tone well. Does not appear too pale as this BB cream blends with your skin color.

Coverage: 4/5
Texture: 3.5/5
Oil Control: 2.5/5

Overall Rating: 3.5/5.

This BB cream is pretty much in my favor in terms of coverage and texture as it feels really light on the skin. But oil control wise, it only lasted about 2-3 hours before I oiled up in my T-zone. So you might want to avoid this if you have oily combination skin like mine.

I would recommend it for those with Dry to Normal skin types. I have tried this on someone with dry skin and it looks really good.

MakeUp Collection: SLEEK MakeUP

So I’m going to be featuring my makeup collection in terms of brands and categories. I will be also doing an overview of the brand itself for those that I’ve categorized by brands.

And first up will be featuring my mini Sleek MakeUP collection which consists of 3 eyeshadow palettes and 2 powder blushes.

Featured Products:

  • Sunset Palette (Check out the swatches here)
  • Curacao Palette L.E (Palette on the left in the last photo)
  • Aruba Blush (Orange)
  • Mediterranean Palette L.E (Palette on the right in the last photo)
  • Santorini Blush (Hot Pink)

Swatches of the 2 palettes can be easily found on the net, let me know if you want me to do the swatches. 😛

Sleek MakeUP have quite a wide variety of eyeshadow palettes and I would say most of them are really pigmented. At least for the 3 that I’ve owned. The palettes are compact and easy to bring around. I don’t recommend you to bring along these palettes for travel as they are quite fragile. (Unless you hand carry them.)

Each palette comes with 10 colors in different textures. Most of the palettes comes with a matte black shade. Meaning if you have 5 palettes, maybe you will the same matte black in all of them. I’ve 3 of the palettes and 2 of them came with the matte black shade. This can be a good or bad thing. What do we do with so many of the same black color? We can always use one wet and the other dry. Black shadow can always doubled up as an eyeliner too.

Sleek Blushes are awesome. Pigmented and great color payoff. Just one swipe of the brush and it’s enough. Don’t be scared of by the vibrancy of the blushes, they are one of the more natural blushes that I’ve owned. If you’re fair like me, you just have to brush on the blush lightly. If you’re of a darker skin tone, you just have to use a little bit more product. I rate a 5 star for the pigmentation of Sleek blushes. Also, the color lasted for a good 5 – 6 hours on oily skin like mine.

The price for Sleek MakeUP is very affordable too! The palettes are priced at $10USD and blushes at $7.80USD. So it’s roughly around $15/16 for the palettes and $10/11 for the blushes depending on where you spree them from and the exchange rate.

Alright on to the photos!
